Let Us Show You Around!
Our Story
Mittenmang was founded back in 1992 by a group of passionate parents eager to create a space where kids could grow up confident, curious, and free. Born out of the energy of reunification, they rolled up their sleeves and built something special — a place where children, educators, and parents shape things together.
We’re a proud parent-run non-profit and part of the Daks NetworkFrom the start, our approach has been all about shared responsibility: educators lead the day-to-day, while parents pitch in behind the scenes — not just because they have to, but because they believe in what we do.
Our goal? Strong, self-assured little humans who learn to speak up, solve problems together, and be themselves. And while the neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, our spirit hasn’t. These days, we’ve got a cleaning crew and a few modern touches, but the heart of Mittenmang is still just as warm and hands-on as ever.

We have space for up to 23 children in our cozy little group.
What is the age range of the children?

Are there any costs?
Yes, there’s a monthly fee based on the Berlin Kita voucher system, plus a small contribution for additional food and activities.
How do the parents get involved?
