Our Educational
Concept
At the heart of our work is a focus on social learning—helping children build respectful, caring relationships both within the group and individually. We support each child’s personal growth by nurturing their unique interests, strengths, and personality.
Our mixed-age group shares a variety of experiences, including day trips, gardening, and creative projects. These activities foster exploration, discovery, and self-expression at every stage of development.
Our Mission
And what comes before education? By Iris Fehr
Child: I want to feel comfortable.
Educator: I’m interested in you.
Child: I need space to move around and act independently.
Educator: I’ll prepare spaces for you.
Child: Help me do it myself.
Educator: I’ll give you your time and space.

Day Trips with Parents
Twice a year—once in the spring and again in the fall—our entire daycare community heads out for a special trip! All the children, teachers, and at least one parent per child join in the fun. We always choose a beautiful destination where we can enjoy picnics, play games, and make wonderful memories together.
Parent-Teacher Meetings
If you'd ever like to chat in more detail about your child's experience, we're happy to set up a parent-teacher meeting! These are available on Wednesdays between 4 and 5 p.m., by request. While we recommend meeting at least once a year, you're welcome to reach out any time you’d like a deeper conversation about your child’s progress or well-being.
Adjustment Period
We know that every child is different, especially when it comes to starting something new. That’s why we work closely with parents to decide together how the settling-in period will look- its pace and timing are always based on what your child needs most. Before this begins, all new parents are invited to an information evening with our educators to learn more and ask any questions. We're here to make the transition as smooth and comforting as possible for everyone!
Parents’ Evenings
Throughout the year, the board hosts a few special evenings just for parents- typically two centered on educational themes and two focused on organizational matters. These gatherings are a wonderful way to stay involved, share ideas, and feel more connected to our daycare community. Everyone’s voice matters, and we value these evenings as a chance to hear all parents’ perspectives and make decisions together as a group.
